Linksys SPA3102 for Alarm Monitoring

The Linksys SPA3102 is one of the most popular VoIP adapters in the world today. It is the ideal choice where cellular or landline backup is required as part of your alarm monitoring solution.

Under normal working conditions, when an alarm panel dials its primary phone number, the SPA3102 transmits alarm signals to the Monitoring Center over the Internet. When the panel dials the secondary number, signals are sent to the backup port of the SPA3102.

SPA3102 - Cellular Backup Feature

The SPA-3102 features the ability to connect standard cellular backup devices that use dialer capture (usually Contact ID) to its backup FXO port. If power to the SPA3102 is lost, if the Internet connection fails or the phone line is cut, the SPA3102 automatically switches calls to the backup port.

Simple Setup

The SPA3102 is easily installed by an Alarm tech or most end users as, once provisioned, it is Plug & Play. The SPA3102 converts alarm signals into data packets for robust transmission over an IP network to the Alarm Monitoring Center.

Branding the Product

As with most "off the shelf" Linksys devices, your company has the option of replacing the stickers on the plastic case with your own stickers or removing the printed circuit board entirely from the plastic case and promoting the device as a PCB Only product that can be installed neatly inside the alarm control panel.
