Queue To VM
The QueueToVM component watches the database for signals arriving in the Virtual Monitoring queue. Signals are then sent to the remote Virtual Monitoring Platform servers and analyzed independently of any signals sent to your automation system.
When a signal arrives at the Virtual Monitoring server, it is analysed to decide if a trigger should be sent to any number of IP cameras registered on the clients account.
IP Camera Recording
Images can be automatically recorded and stored on the Virtual Monitoring server without operator intervention. Each customer has the option to allow your operators timed access to view event snapshots or live images for a programmable number of minutes following an alarm event. This allows your operators to use the Virtual Monitoring Platform to verify alarm activations while at the same time the customer's privacy is respected and maintained.
It is the customer's duty to provide you with a password protected URL that will allow your operators temporary access to cameras.
There are 4 parameters the subscriber can set within their Virtual Monitoring account that make up the URL. The first allows the subscriber to enable or disable remote access by operators. The second allows the user to define a programmable number of minutes (Post Alarm). The third is a Post Alarm password and the fourth is a flag to allow or disallow the operator to have live view.
