Broadview (Brinks) & VoIP
If you have Broadview and VoIP service, you will know from reading your alarm monitoring contract that they do not play well together. The reasons for this are many, and they are documented on the Internet. IP Alarms are the security industry leader in monitoring alarms over IP and we know from experience that alarms can be sent reliably to a Brinks monitoring center over the Internet using one of our custom provisioned "off the shelf" Linksys VoIP device.

Broadview Brinks Alarm Monitoring If you have Broadview Alarm Monitoring service and would like to disconnect your landline, then you have two options available to you - depending on whether or not you are happy with your service from Brinks and whether or not not you are under contract with them. If you do not like your Broadview service and you are no longer under contract with them, then the easiest thing to do is to switch your monitoring service to a Monitoring Center that supports the IP Alarms Linksys Alarm Monitoring Solution. They will be able to monitor signals from your Broadview panel or from any replacement panel over your broadband Internet connection using a low cost "off the shelf" Linksys VoIP adapter. If you have a Linksys VoIP device already - you can utilize it without incurring any additional charges for equipment. Monitoring service can be arranged through one of our dealers or direct with the Central Station themselves. If you are pleased with your Broadview service, or you are under a contract, then we can make your system send signals reliably to the Broadview monitoring center over the Internet. We are fully aware that their equipment uses a proprietory alarm protocol, but this is no problem to our solution. Only the first half of the call goes over IP to our data center. The second part of the call travels over a PSTN landline to the alarm receiver at the Brinks Central Station - just as it always has done. The regular "off the shelf" Linksys VoIP adapter that we utilize to do this will allow your backup cellular unit to function unaltered. Our leading edge IP to POTS Solution optimizes the Internet part of the alarm signal and removes all the problems that would occur if you were to send the signal to the Broadview alarm receivers over a VoIP service provider network. The cost for this service is just $5.95 per month, which can be paid in arrears and without a contract. That leaves you free to cancel your landline and make some serious savings.
